COREGAMERS | COREGAMING: DIEUBUSSY | PIXELS AT AN EXHIBITION
BACKGROUND ART BY OSAMU SATO, 1995

In a time when the Japanese game industry is said to be closing its doors to its own tradition, opening the large gates to the purported miracle of technology and innovation witnessed in the West, Yoshiro Kimura - of Chulip, Rule of Rose and Little King’s Story fame - has been strengthening the ties with the European audience. During his stay in France, Kimura was already interviewed in a live chat at the popular Gameblog website (founded and partially composed of old members from selected French press), now having presented his own V.I.P. blog where he will write about important developments in his career or creative life. Earlier this month, Kimura finally joined Grasshopper Manufacture after having participated with Goichi Suda in the creation of No More Heroes.
On his first post rehearsal, Kimura tells the story of a recent visit performed together with Florent Gorges - from the Pix’n Love editions - to a videogame store where, among many others, he was amazed to find an European copy of his own underrated classic Rule of Rose.
